Taking trivia and quizzes is more than a great way to occupy your time; it is also a way to exercise your mind. For the same reason that Sunday mornings are spent filling in a Sudoku puzzle or cross word puzzle out of the newspaper, it is possible that taking a trivia or a quiz might even enhance your creativity, increase energy, and prevent depression.

Research from countless sources over the past few years has verified something that we should have known all along: the brain is like a muscle. Use it or lose it.Studies have shown that challenging your mental abilities every day not only improves your mental function, but also protects you from various nerve conditions: including memory loss associated with aging and even Alzheimer's or dementia. Mental exercises can not only make you live longer, but make sure you remain healthy throughout your old age. Doing regular mental exercise is a fun, easy way to ensure your own health. As if you needed a new reason to play online Sudoku!

Quiz fans, nerds, quizniacs or?

When I first started writing on 1st-Quiz; I also started thinking about what to call all those thousands of people who has interest in quiz and trivia and who loves to quiz in every meaning of the word. At first I thought; maybe the term “quiz lovers” is the right word!? I soon rejected that term again; mostly because I thought it created a picture of two lovers walking as silhouettes against a sunset while quizzing each other all night long.
