Puzzles for science 9 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 0
Hi there!
Some months ago I was studying "Grid Computing" (that put together computers' CPUs in order to help science, to keep it simple ) and I discovered a nice and useful as well puzzle, FoldIt.
We usually thinks (or at least so I do) at puzzles as game, and at games as "something to let hours pass"...but games and puzzles really help human brain to evolve (what if a kid doesn't play?).
With FoldIt you can play, and at the same time help science. How? Developing new proteins!
You don't need to have knowledge about proteins to play this game, and the rules are pretty simple: just follow the tutorials, and you will be ok.
Maybe one day someone of us will be on "Rolling Stones" cover!
Bye,
Davide.
